Brett Lininger Named to Multiple GBC Committees
Nemphos Braue LLC is pleased to announce that Brett Lininger has recently been named to the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC)’s Innovation and Technology Committee and Baltimore County Business Advisory Council.
The Innovation and Technology Committee serves as an advocate for programs and policies that support and encourage smart cities, entrepreneurship, innovation and growth in the region’s technology sector. The committee develops and advocates for policies, programs and initiatives that promote and assist Baltimore’s burgeoning technology and start-up communities.
Lininger, also a government affairs professional with Old Line Government Affairs, has represented clients from various industries, including insurance, energy, healthcare, and information technology companies before the Maryland General Assembly, Executive State Agencies and City and County governments.
“Having represented many different industries, I’m excited to be more involved in Baltimore’s technology sector and have the opportunity to work more closely with local leaders and officials,” said Lininger. “I’m deeply invested in the growth of the greater Baltimore area and look forward to engaging in the policies that will shape it.”
With his role on the Baltimore County Business Advisory Council, Lininger will be able to participate in a regionally-focused approach toward business climate issues, by engaging with local business, institutional, and government leaders. Further, he will have an opportunity to advocate on behalf of the business community to local and state elected officials and key figures, and promote economic development opportunities and quality of life in the county.
During the Administration of Governor Bob Ehrlich, Lininger served as the Director of Government Relations for the Maryland Insurance Administration under Commissioner Al Redmer. He was also head of his own government affairs consulting firm, and he served on the Transition Team for Governor Larry Hogan.
A graduate of University of Baltimore School of Law and Towson University, Lininger is a member of the University of Baltimore Foundation Board and past chair of the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Baltimore, Inc. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore City Bar Association. Lininger is also a 2017 recipient of The Daily Record’s Leadership in Law Award, and he was named Independent Insurance Agents of Maryland’s Insurance Person of the Year in 2009.
