Recently, Technical.ly Baltimore wrote an article about our work with Jeff Kurtzman, co-founder of Better World Books and new start-up, Bark Social. The article shared the myriad challenges he faced in raising capital and working with a former attorney. Our Founding Member, George Nemphos, shares how the right attorney can help a business grow and work in partnership with the business owner.
“Jeff had obtained a Ph.D. in how not to do it,” said Nemphos. “They did amazing in building the business. They made what was in the end a tough deal tougher than they should have. Now we work with him in a manner where the legal and structural pieces provoke the business’ growth, not hinder it.”
