There are multiple ways to shop local and small: order takeout, shop online, buy a gift certificate, and more. Check out the SBA’s annual Shop Small initiative for more tips and information.
According to a recent analysis, two-thirds of every dollar ($0.67) spent at small businesses in the U.S. stays in the local community. Whether buying a cup of coffee from the neighborhood cafe, or buying a gift from a local artist, those acts make a big difference for small businesses.
