With a focus on providing boutique-style service to its corporate and business law clients, Nemphos Braue LLC recently added three additional team members to support the firm’s continued growth: Of Counsel Christopher D. Scott, a veteran tax attorney, brings extensive transactional experience; Business Development Manager David J. Harding fosters external relationships and partnerships for both Nemphos Braue and its subsidiary Old Line Government Affairs; and Legal Assistant Tanya M. Metz provides sophisticated support for the firm’s corporate attorneys.
CHRISTOPHER D. SCOTT, Of Counsel
With vast experience in corporate transactions, a comprehensive legal background in governance of limited liability companies and partnerships, and advanced knowledge of tax law, Christopher will be focused on corporate mergers and acquisitions and related income tax planning. He has worked in the Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia markets, and provides guidance for complex and unique transactions, helping clients identify ways to improve tax results.
Christopher has a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. He earned his bachelor’s at Virginia Tech. He is admitted to practice law in Maryland, Virginia, Florida, California, and the U.S. Tax Court.
DAVID J. HARDING, Business Development Manager
Underscoring the firm’s dedication to fostering and growing meaningful partnerships, David works with referral businesses, community, professional and entrepreneurial associations, as well as like-minded business leaders to make new connections, further Nemphos Braue’s external relationships, and drive continued growth in areas of corporate and business law.
Most recently, David was a top-performing sales consultant for Breakthru Beverage Illinois in Chicago and a participant in the E&J Gallo Leadership Development Program. Representing the corporate chains division, he developed strong relationships with buyers and consistently exceeded revenue goals.
Born and raised in the Baltimore area, David earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Princeton University, where he was also Team Captain and an All-American for the varsity baseball team. He obtained a Master’s in marketing from the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.
TANYA M. METZ, Legal Assistant
Bringing with her experience as a paralegal at law firms and in corporate real estate, Tanya is a Notary Public and has worked in areas including bankruptcy, construction, estates and trusts, securities law, civil litigation and more. She supports the firm’s corporate attorneys with legal research, e-filings, client intake and with drafting, reviewing and maintaining corporate documents such as NDAs, agendas, licenses, agreements, contracts and term sheets.
