Smart Business Dealmakers of the Year Awards were recently presented to our clients: Bark Social, Youreka and Calvert Street Capital Partners.
Nemphos Braue’s presence at The Smart Business Dealmakers Conference in Baltimore held strong as several of our clients were honored with the prestigious 2022 Dealmakers of the Year Award.
Jeffery Kurtzman and Luke Silverman, co-founders of Bark Social, were recognized this week at the conference for their business, a place for dogs and dog-owners alike! This amazing duo has raised Bark Social’s total funding to an astounding $5.3 million since last year, and they look forward to expanding to more locations within the coming years. With their newly opened second location in Baltimore, Bark Social is ramping up to take command of the East Coast.
Youreka Labs, Inc. was also among our many clients being honored this week. CEO Bill Karpovich and CFO Greg Denicola received the Dealmakers of the Year Award in recognition of their company’s recent acquisition by Dispatch Technologies. Youreka’s software enables organizations to easily build smart assistant apps to help frontline workers in a wide array of industries. Nemphos Braue Co-founder George Nemphos also assisted in closing a complex, multi-investor, $8.5 million Series A capital raise for Youreka Labs in 2021.
The duo composed of Brian Guerin, Partner, and Chris Pope, Principal and Co-founder at Calvert Street Capital Partners were also honored this week as Dealmakers. Through their thesis-led and sector-focused approach, Calvert Street seeks to transform owner-operated businesses into much larger, scalable and professionally managed enterprises. Nemphos Braue represented Calvert Street in a private equity roll-up last year that included Machine Specialties, Inc.
We are honored to have been able to work with these outstanding individuals and positively influence these companies on their way to gaining recognition in their respective industries.
