Lobbyist and Attorney Aaron J. Greenfield Joins Old Line Government Affairs and Nemphos Braue Corporate Law Firm

BALTIMORE – Lobbying firm Old Line Government Affairs, LLC, and corporate boutique law firm Nemphos Braue LLC welcome lobbyist and attorney Aaron J. Greenfield, who will serve as Senior Director of Government Affairs and Of Counsel for the firms, respectively. Old Line Government Affairs is a subsidiary of Nemphos Braue.

With a combined background in government affairs, economic development, and legal representation of businesses, trade associations and foreign governments, Aaron builds upon the breadth and depth of experience provided to clients. He has represented companies across a number of industries including energy, gaming, healthcare, real estate, technology, telecommunications, and transportation, and clients including the Embassy of Japan and The Maryland Multi-Housing Association, for which he will continue to serve as Director of Government Affairs.

For local and state matters in Maryland, he addresses legislative and executive action, regulatory promulgation and procurement issues. At Greenfield Law for the past 8 years, Aaron has handled legal and lobbying matters from the routine to the complex. Balancing a broad perspective and a personalized approach, Aaron was previously a practicing attorney at multiple large law firms, with prior experience as Special Counsel to a major international firm and Associate Corporate Counsel to a regional financial institution.

Aaron has been recognized by The Daily Record’s Leadership in Law, the Baltimore Jewish Council and The Associated Jewish Federation of Baltimore, The Baltimore Business Journal and more. His pro bono work representing 650 Holocaust survivors from around the world before Congress and state legislatures contributed to a $60 million compensatory fund for the victims and their survivors. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore College of Public Affairs, and as a guest lecturer and speaker at a number of universities and law schools on topics related to politics and the political process, law, and the Holocaust.

Aaron has extensive experience throughout many facets of Maryland government. From 2016-2023, Aaron was a Liquor Commissioner for the City of Baltimore. Prior to that, Aaron served as Chief of Staff to Howard County Executive Ken Ulman, and was President and CEO of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation.

During his tenure, Baltimore Mayor Martin O’Malley appointed Aaron as Special City Solicitor for Policy and Development. Aaron represented the City of Baltimore before the Maryland General Assembly and worked on economic development and homeland security matters.

Following law school, Aaron served as Law Clerk to Maryland Supreme Court Justice Clayton Greene, Jr. (ret) when he served on the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Maryland, College Park.
