Tim E. Braue is a founding member of Nemphos Braue. He focuses his practice in the area of sophisticated corporate transactions. Tim frequently represents private companies, venture capital investors and private equity funds in connection with mergers and acquisitions, private securities offerings and general corporate matters. Tim’s clients include companies in industries ranging from manufacturing and industrial services, pharmaceutical and digital healthcare to technology, real estate development, insurance and food and beverage.

Prior to forming Nemphos Braue, Tim worked at some of the largest corporate practice law firms in the world, leading transaction teams in complex, multibillion-dollar financing and acquisitions. Tim was honored with SmartCEO’s 2016 Center of Influence Award for his work advising Baltimore’s top CEO’s.

He also held high-level positions in both federal and Maryland state government. Tim served in the White House as Deputy Associate Director of Presidential Personnel, was appointed by President George W. Bush to be Counsel to the Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice and was named Deputy Appointments Secretary, serving with the former Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan.

Tim led Governor Hogan’s transition team for economic development and education agencies and is the past chairman of the Harford County Judicial Nominating Commission.

In 2018, Tim was appointed by the Governor to be a Member of the Task Force to Study State Alcohol Regulation, Enforcement, Safety, and Public Health.

Tim serves on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Central Maryland, the Advisory Board for the Maryland Momentum Fund, and the Board of Directors for the Claire Marie Foundation.

Most recently, Tim joined the Board of Directors for the Maryland Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, supporting the organization’s initiatives around fundraising, raising awareness and searching for a cure.

Admitted to practice in Maryland, Tim is a 1997 cum laude graduate of Valparaiso University Law School and a 1992 graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland with degrees in Economics and Political Science.
