Caroline Popper Speaks on Agentic AI Readiness at TEDCO Entrepreneur Expo

Caroline Popper at TEDCO

Caroline Popper, attorney at Nemphos Braue, recently served as a panelist discussing agentic AI at the 2026 TEDCO 2026 Entrepreneur Expo.

Joined by panelists Meredith Amdur of Advanceo Capital, Vishal Amin of Aertron, the panel titled, “What do investors look for to see if you’re agentic AI ready?” was moderated by Jean-Luc Park, TEDCO’s Deputy Chief Investment Officer & Sr. Director, Social Impact Funds.

Caroline, a former attending physician in the emergency medicine department at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital who previously consulted for multiple hospital and university spinouts, healthcare, MedTech, digital and pharma services companies from startup to exit, has a deep interest in the intersection between AI and healthcare. As an attorney, she pairs that experience with legal expertise, and she is acutely attuned to the evolving artificial intelligence universe.

Jean-Luc Park’s questions, and the subsequent discussions with a very engaged audience, centered on automation and autonomy across industries, and the role of regulation as a competitive advantage. Caroline shared her perspective on the design and implementation of guardrails, monitoring and auditing, and well-designed consent, all to improve performance as well as mitigate risk and liability. Panelists also talked about reskilling humans to team with AI. Of note, the panelists’ discussion highlighted the similarities and differences when considering AI in different industries such as aviation, financial services, and healthcare.

“Personally, I think 2027 is going to be a breakout year,” says Caroline. “The way to maximize potential and minimize risk is to plan early and thoughtfully, and to put processes in place for a future of AI-human teaming across many industries, including healthcare.”
