Funds Available Through Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS)

Are you an engineer looking for a source of funding and knowledge from experts in your industry?

Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) provides matching funds to Maryland-based companies to help pay for university research. Projects are initiated by the companies to meet their own research and development goals and must be based on proposals submitted jointly by Maryland companies and researchers from any of the 13 University System institutions.

We recommend that you consult with a MIPS staff member before submitting your proposal, as they can provide valuable advice and assistance. In guiding the process, they may also be able to help find the right faculty researcher for your project. Both one-year and two-year projects are eligible for MIPS funding. The maximum MIPS award for any single project is $100,000 per year for large and small companies and $90,000 for start-up firms.

ACT NOW – the deadline for proposals is May 1, 2023.
