George and Claudia Nemphos Named American Heart Association Baltimore Heart Ball Auction Chairs

Nemphos Braue LLC, the premier corporate boutique law firm in the Mid-Atlantic region, is pleased to announce that founding member George Nemphos and his wife Claudia Nemphos have been named the American Heart Association (AHA) Baltimore Heart Ball Auction Chairs.

The 2019 Baltimore Heart Ball will be held on February 23 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, featuring live and silent auctions, cocktails, a heart-healthy dinner and dancing. This annual fundraiser is a celebration of the life-saving work of the AHA, bringing together more than 600 of the region’s most prominent medical, corporate and community leaders.

From funding more than $17 million in cardiovascular research, to re-opening the Simple Cooking with Heart Kitchen; from training more 10,000 BWI travelers to save a life with hands-only CPR, to hosting the National EmPowered to Serve Summit, the American Heart Association is committed to building a healthier Baltimore.

“Claudia and I are honored to be the Chairs of the Baltimore Heart Ball Auction,” said George Nemphos. “It has been great to see all of the fantastic donations that have been coming in. Our community has been incredibly generous in years past, and I’m looking forward to the 2019 auction being the best yet. The more money we raise, the more people we can educate about heart disease and prevention.”

Nemphos was also on the 2018 Baltimore Heart Ball Committee. At NB Law, he represents entrepreneurs, start-ups, emerging and mature companies, as well as venture capital and private equity funds. He has extensive experience in representing and assisting clients in entity choice and formation, mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, complex joint ventures, structural and day-to-day issues, as well as corporate governance and securities law compliance.

Admitted to practice in Maryland, Nemphos holds a LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and received his juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Boston University. Nemphos also serves on the Board of Directors of the Driving Force Group and the American Diabetes Association, Maryland Chapter; he is on the Steering Committee for the Capital Campaign for St. Paul’s School for Boys.
