Lauren Ziegler is a Member at Nemphos Braue, where she represents startups, emerging and mature private companies, and investors in a variety of corporate, securities and business law matters. She regularly assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, capital raises and financial transactions, compliance, entity formation, structuring and governance, joint ventures, and contract management and negotiations.
Lauren started with Nemphos Braue in 2017 soon after it was founded, and was promoted to member for the firm in 2023. Before joining Nemphos Braue, she was an associate at Ballard Spahr LLP.
Leading with a strategic-partner approach, Lauren has experience working with companies across a wide range of industries, ranging from healthcare, insurance and technology, to real estate investment trusts and financial services, to manufacturing, industrial services and consumer products.
Stemming from her interest in working with startups and entrepreneurs, Lauren spearheads the work Nemphos Braue does with incubators and accelerators. She has advised numerous startups from entity formation through multiple financing rounds, roll-ups and spin-offs all the way to exit, and currently serves as a legal advisor to venture companies in the Towson University StarTUp Accelerator.
Lauren has served on multiple boards and commissions, including the Girls’ Empowerment Mission (GEM), which is dedicated to empowering high school girls in underserved communities, and the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) Bridging the Gap Committee, focused on supporting minority and women-owned businesses; and was appointed to the Maryland Park Advisory Commission, which advises on the operation, maintenance and mission of Maryland’s state parks.
