Tim E. Braue is a founding member of Nemphos Braue, and specializes in the area of sophisticated corporate transactions. Tim frequently represents private companies, including startups, emerging and mature companies, in connection with mergers and acquisitions, private securities offerings and general corporate matters. Tim has worked with companies in industries ranging from manufacturing and industrial services, pharmaceutical and digital healthcare to technology, consumer products, insurance and food and beverage.
Prior to forming Nemphos Braue, Tim worked at some of the largest corporate practice law firms in the world, leading transaction teams in complex, multibillion-dollar financing and acquisitions. He also held high-level positions in both federal and Maryland state government. Tim served in the White House as Deputy Associate Director of Presidential Personnel, was appointed by President George W. Bush to be Counsel to the Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice and was named Deputy Appointments Secretary by Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, serving with the former Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan.
Tim led Governor Hogan’s transition team for economic development and education agencies, is the past chairman of the Harford County Judicial Nominating Commission, and was appointed to multiple commissions and task forces by multiple governors of Maryland.
Active in the community, Tim serves on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Junior Achievement of Central Maryland, the Claire Marie Foundation, and the Advisory Board for the Maryland Momentum Fund.
Admitted to practice in Maryland, Tim is a 1997 cum laude graduate of Valparaiso University Law School and a 1992 graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland with degrees in Economics and Political Science.
