Bill Huber has spent more than 20 years as an attorney, specializing in complex transactions, corporate structuring and governance, regulatory compliance, employment matters, joint ventures, investment capital and financing arrangements, and mergers and acquisitions. As counsel at Nemphos Braue, he utilizes that experience to help clients across industries, leveraging in-depth expertise in the areas of healthcare and cannabis.

Before joining Nemphos Braue, Bill served as in-house counsel for a large multinational cannabis organization, addressing the full spectrum of corporate formation and product development from seed-to-sale, and co-founded a Maryland-based medical cannabis dispensary. Through this experience, he has acquired deep subject matter expertise not only within the cannabis industry, but also in manufacturing, supply-chain management, food and beverage regulatory compliance, and hands-on entrepreneurial experience to support other startups.

Previously Bill spent 15 years in the healthcare space, serving as in-house counsel for numerous healthcare companies including UnitedHealth Group, Magellan Health and Maxim Healthcare Services, providing counsel for product development, drafting and negotiating large contracts, joint ventures, vendor arrangements and licensing agreements. Working in highly specialized areas, Bill is experienced in managing compliance and regulatory affairs functions, privacy and security issues, and contractual service arrangements including employment, supply chain development, wholesale and distribution, private-label and toll manufacturing, construction, and a variety of technology software and device applications.

Bill earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Penn., and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Law. He has been admitted to the Bar in both Maryland and Massachusetts. In 2023, Bill was elected to the board of directors at Lead4Life, a program that aims to reduce the number of youth and young adults entering the juvenile justice system.
