Nemphos Braue is proud to have been a part of the 2021 Jmore Innovation in Health Care event, and we are incredibly grateful to NB Law client Amalgam RX and COO/CFO Jennifer Main for being a part of the event. The panelists offered insights into the work they do, the challenges they face, and inspiring stories of how advancements in technology and care are making a difference.
See below for 5 key takeaways from the event and a link to watch the recording.
1 As Jennifer Main from Amalgam RX described, there’s tremendous “friction” in the daily and hourly interaction between a patient and provider. Getting the right information at the right time and at the point of care is key in order to address the current challenges we face today, whether it’s insurance limitations, prescription requirements or multiple disconnected apps. Read more about how Amalgam RX is addressing these challenges through their innovations.
2 Change is hard – for medical professionals too. Doctors have many things to keep in mind when taking care of patients. Moving forward, innovations in technology must make it as easy and adaptable as possible for providers, payers and patients alike in order to be successful. Learn more from Lifebridge Health.
3 Today’s telehealth isn’t even fast enough. Advances and innovations will continue to catch up with patients and their medical needs. The future could see the addition of artificial intelligence (AI) and other tools to help everything move faster, while maintaining accuracy.
4 Telehealth really came of age in mental health during the pandemic. To support patients, facilities like Sheppard Pratt‘s new campus in Elkridge, complete with a psychiatric urgent care center, are helping patients facing mental health crises.
5 The curve is flattening in curing certain cancers, thanks to innovations like CAR T cell therapy. Learn more from the University of Maryland Medical System.
