It’s 4/20: An Update on Cannabis in Maryland

Typically 4/20, or April 20, is recognized as a day of international observance for marijuana enthusiasts, and is often the largest sales day of the year in the cannabis industry. Next year, those numbers could go even higher in Maryland with the oncoming legalization of adult recreational use.

Legislation that was approved by both the House and Senate in the Maryland General Assembly sets the stage for regulated recreational marijuana sales to begin on July 1. The bill went to the Governor’s desk for signature.

2023 Legislative Session Wrap-Up

The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission has also provided updated information regarding new adult-use legislation.
